J went AWOL again yesterday. She came back tonight and wanted to see me. I took her to dinner and explained to her about the meaning of the TDM meeting and asked her to behave for the next week or so. She said that she did not want to stay at the group home, she wanted to go back to her mother. And if the agency sent her away, she will definitely run away and find her own way back to her mommy. I advised her to call her mother first before she made any plan. She didn't know that she can use the phone in group home to call her mother.
I asked her whether she loved her mother. Her voice quivered and said that "I love my mommy. I want to go home to her. I want to be with my mommy."
I bought a cute hand-knitted scarf in the city this afternoon for J. I put it in a little red gift bag and gave it to her after dinner. She looked really happy, wore it right away and said that she's going to wear it to sleep tonight... ^^

On Sunday 12/10, group home notified me that J took off with most of her belongings and left a note stating that she'll stay with her friend. Her house mate said that she overheard J making plans to go back to her mother.
